Foods that are high in fiber are helpful for the liver because of their complex carbohydrates. These carbohydrates are more difficult to break down, which means that they turn to fat at a slower rate. Eat more of brown rice, whole grain bread, and bran bread. Meanwhile, try to avoid low fiber foods such as white rice and white bread.

Low Fat Foods

It will be difficult to lose weight if you constantly eat high fat foods such as milk, butter, cheese, cream, and margarine. These foods will only put additional load to your liver, which is already having a hard time functioning. Thus, choose low fat foods.
Instead of eating red meats such as beef and pork, for instance, choose to eat seafood such as fish or skinless chicken meat. However, try avoiding too much of fat fish or limit your fat fish intake. Examples of fat fish include salmon and tuna.

Fruits and Vegetables

Raw and fresh fruits and vegetables are rich in antioxidants and vitamins that are helpful to the body. Eating fruits and vegetables will improve your health overall. Each meal should contain fruits and vegetables, whether they are part of your salads, main course, or desserts. For instance, toss those greens and create a healthy low fat salad without using high fat salad dressing. Fruits are also better desserts compared to cakes, candies, and other sweets made of refined white sugar.
